The Spear of the Beginning is a powerful artifact found in the Great Mire within the Winter Fae Lands.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Spear of the Beginning works by attempting to recreate the beginning of the House. The Spear creates a new "world" and attempts to overlay that "world" on the reality within the House. This different "world" is capable of rejecting residents of the House, causing damage to their Essence or the Ether around them. Even if the Spear doesn't kill the person outright, being exposed to an alternate "world" can cause severe damage to them.

History

No one knows when the Spear of the Beginning was made, and its earliest mentions in history date to early in the Ancient Age. It has always been held by the Fae, even before Ragnarok
After Ragnarok, Filianore retrieved the Spear and placed it in a shrine deep in the Great Mire. The corruption within the Great Mire drove out anyone that would attempt to steal the Spear. The shrine has held the Spear for the past 7000 years.
