Venus Comb
A shell comb that is used to comb one's hair. The comb is called Venus because it is short for venus comb murex seashell. A type of seashell that can be found in shallow waters and possibly reefs. The comb is also just used for personal use and doesn't really have any other use.
The shell is used by both Requiem and Sirens. The two kingdoms can find and "make" their own combs. This makes the price of the comb low. Of course, you can find your own comb, but the vendors who sell them have doctored them to be more comb-like.
The comb is used like a real-world comb. Since the comb is common it is almost very easy to find the comb in the homes of mer's everywhere. The comb is so commonplace that no one really questions that it is there. The comb not weighing much makes it easy to pick up. Even if the comb with all of its spikes making it a little hard to hold.
Manufacturing process
The shells are not made as much as they are found. The shells are made naturally through the sea. Since the shell has little spikes on both sides of the "comb" it is not uncommon for one side of the spikes to be removed. That way the comb is easier to hold and use.
Significance
The item is used for personal use by being used as a comb hair to take care of one's hair. To make sure that someone's hair does not get too messy. Because every day is a bad hair day when you are under the water.
