G.O.Z.E.R.
Ghoulish Olm Zapping Electronic Resonator
Use and Purpose
When dwarves delve deeper into the mountainous caves that surround their enclosed settlements to retrieve materials or look for a new place to create a village, ghouls are sure to find them. Large, slimy lizards that live in cave pools track them by scent. They usually don't stray into towns because of the many lanterns and bright lights, but the fewer lanterns delvers carry allow the ghouls to become a bit more confident in attacking their prey.
The G.O.Z.E.R. allows dwarves to attack and fend off ghouls while not drawing blood, which would only attract even more ghouls to their location. In a pinch, while not optimal, it can also be used to cauterise small cuts or wounds to prevent the blood scent from reaching a ghoul's nose.
Design and Production
The G.O.Z.E.R. is a folding polearm that is designed to attach to the hip of a dwarven guardsman to be easily accessed and removed at a moment's notice. It is a smooth metal pole, save for the joint where it is connected by many thin metal chords and a powerful magnet on the inside and the rune and activation switch.
The rune inside the G.O.Z.E.R. is a basic one allowing for the creation of a powerful electric current to run through the inside of the pole along special metallic fibres into the prongs at the end, creating a tazer on a stick.

Ye-ap! Can't forget my G.O.Z.E.R! What the fuck kinda use would I be without one? These ghouls ain't gonna fuck off if we ask them nicely, you know.
The ghouls are a menace, I tell you. Can't slash at them. Can't even bash their heads in- they'll smell the blood for miles and come running. At least with the G.O.Z.E.R, we can fight back.
