Eruption of Mount Forge
The eruption of Mount Forge was a devastating natural disaster caused on the then-called Forge Island (now the LavaNord Kingdom). It was caused during the building of the volcanic forge when a structural flaw was observed; the flaw caused the magma to rise and erupt, killing everyone inside and on the island. It was so powerful that most of the people around the volcano died merely of the heat emanating from the volcano. But it also caused some good things, like the land was very fertile and suitable for agriculture, and new areas were formed as a part of Forge Island.
After Effects
Fortunately, there were very positive after-effects. The eruption completely melted down the building and the metal, and now the metal solidified at the bottom so it would never erupt again. A pressure control system was also put into order so it wouldn't blow up the metal layer and erupt once again. Some of the more natural after-effects included fertility of the soil. Pre-eruption, Forge Island had to import heaps of grain from other kingdoms, but now they could farm themselves. This also led as a major point for the island to become a separate kingdom.Manifestation
Interestingly, the high amounts of sulfur around the volcano caused the magma to be an electric-blue colour rather than the usual bright orange. This made for some very stunning photos and sceneries because the mainland near Forge Island had an electric-blue coloured sky in the evening. The eruption also gave out a lot of light. Other places also noted smelling rotten eggs, confirming the existence of sulfur.
Fun Fact:
The Volcano was originally thought to be dormant and the volcanologist thought it would be atleast 2000 years before the volcano erupted again. But then, he was wrong. His mistake cost thousands of lives, so he was sentenced to death by drowning him to the Hydrolynxes.
