Generoasis

The city of Generoasis, or Parastrand, is the capital city of the Desert Kingdom and is the first settlement in the vast desert. It was almost completely destroyed in an earthquake in its earlier years, shortly after the creation of the Desert Kingdom. However, it was rebuilt, with better infrastructure and technology.

Government

Generoasis is the capital of the Desert Kingdom, which is a monarchy with some democratic elements. This makes it different from other kingdoms, which are mostly absolute monarchies. In the Desert Kingdom, the King is elected. After the election, the king holds absolute power, till his death, when elections are held again. The king is assisted by the council of ministers, who are selected by the king.

Defences

The city is protected by the Desert Kingdom Armed Forces. It is also considered a military base, since the northern part of the city is the headquarters of the Desert Kingdom Armed Forces. The city is also the only city in Acciphere with force field shields across its entire perimeter.

Industry & Trade

Generoasis is an administrative hub, but is also known for its spacecraft industry. It is located somewhat near the sea, so it has a port. It has a spaceport and an airport.

Infrastructure

Generoasis is the biggest city in the Desert Kingdom and by far the most technologically advanced city in Acciphere. The city boasts tall skyscrapers and unique architectural styles. All buildings are built to be earthquake-resistant since the city is near a fault line. A major earthquake destroyed the entire settlement when it was still budding, and this is the reason why there are many earthquake shelters in the city.

Assets

The Generoasis stores the entire monetary reserves of the Desert Kingdom, in the royal treasury. It also contains various relics of the Desert Kingdom. The royal treasury covers an area of 54 square miles.

Guilds and Factions

The only guilds that exist in the Generoasis are of the Workers’ guild, a small group of lowly workers like blacksmiths and goldsmiths and the sandbenders . The Jorhan castle is rumoured to be a tiny ways past the outskirts of the Generoasis.

History

The city was first built in 943. However, when it was still a small town in the newly formed Desert Kingdom, tragedy struck the region. A devastating earthquake almost completely destroyed the city, throwing the Kingdom into chaos after its king was killed. When the city was rebuilt and order was restored, the city upgraded its technology to prevent it from ever happening again. Now, the city is one of the most prosperous and advanced in Acciphere.

Tourism

The city is popular as a tourist attraction, because of its spaceport and museums.

Architecture

All buildings in the region are earthquake-resistant. The buildings are usually tall and not spread across. Modern architecture is the preferred architectural style.

Geography

The city is located near the Sertian Bay. The city has moderately mountainous regions on the north and east. The south is fertile due to the seasonal river Riugh. To its west lies the Bay.

Natural Resources

The city is rich in fuel sources, like Accipherian petroleum and Engeryite, which is used as a space fuel.
