Shadow

A Shadow is a spirit whose soul lingers but can never be claimed for The Great Game, all shadows are the Souls of the fallen dead of Orshten. They are not full souls, but shadows of Souls from the past, in Orshten the Shadows are in the millions, they are mostly harmless as they go about their former lives as though the world was never destroyed, the Shadows of Soldiers may attack outsiders who enter Orshten as they will be seen as enemies from wars long since past, these are often called Wraiths, but the distinction is manufactured, by their victims, they are all shadows, but Wraiths attack outsiders, Shadows do not.
When a Shadow is forced into another Realm, it is only then that they realise that their world as perished, each shadow responds differently to this realisation, some linger in sorrow whilst others are filled with hatred toward the living.
