The Stony Steppe

This marginal grassland is covered in large boulders and has very rocky ground. It is not well suited for farming but makes good pasture for herd animals. The Steppe was traditionally goblin lands, human farmers had begun building ranches and sheep stations across the land, but recently the goblins have taken the land back, the settlements and farms lay largely unoccupied except for a few peasant families who have lost their lands to goblins and now have no pasture for animals.
