Simikiel the Grey Angel

Simikiel was a once proud angel turned to the dark side by his hunger for power, this fallen angel is Xanathar's sword.
Simikiel once fought alongside the Angel's and celestials during the great Shadow War as one of the generals of the army. Simikiel was revered by the angels for making immense progress in driving the demons and devils back, unbeknownst to the others he did this by not using the means of light and good but by dabbling in unholy acts of torture and brutality; by using the dark force that resided inside of him scholars suspect that this was what caused Simikiel to become corrupted by the temptation of power but the true reason is still only known by Simikiel himself.
Simikiel became a traitor to the celestials and Angels when he slayed the great deity Zaphkiel in cold blood he did this while the battle of Toulons most quintessential battle took place, he stole Zaphkiels most powerful weapon the Sanctus Lux blade and made his way to the council of Redlarchous.

This loss of such an important leader through the celestial army into disarray and gave the demons and devils an immense win over the celstials pushing them to the brink of loss. The betrail caused his angelic brethren to refer to Simikiel by a new name that has since been lost to time. The last reported sighting of Simikiel was with the mad god named Xanathar The All Seerer, no one knows why Simikiel joined forces with Xanathar and we may never know.
