Felons

In Batur, the administration of criminal sentences takes a unique approach, with a focus on labor-based rehabilitation rather than imprisonment. Those convicted of felonies are often assigned to the shipyards, where they serve their sentences through physical labor. As a result, the shipyards have developed a reputation as rough and rowdy areas, where conflicts and disputes are not uncommon.   Within the shipyards, tensions can run high, fueled by the diverse mix of individuals serving their sentences. Fights and disputes may erupt over various matters, ranging from personal disagreements to territorial disputes. However, due to the presence of guards who monitor the felons working in the shipyards, most conflicts are contained and do not escalate further.   The guards play a crucial role in maintaining order and preventing the escalation of conflicts. Their constant presence and vigilance act as a deterrent, discouraging individuals from engaging in violent behavior. Their primary objective is to ensure the safety of both the felons and the overall shipyard environment.   While the shipyards may have a reputation for their rough nature, they also serve as spaces for rehabilitation and personal growth. The physical labor involved in various shipyard activities can provide a sense of purpose and structure to the felons' lives. Through their work, they may develop new skills, discipline, and a sense of responsibility, which can contribute to their eventual reintegration into society.

With a bustling trade network, the triton squadron plays a vital role in protecting the city's maritime interests.   Inland, the city's borders and streets are vigilantly patrolled by dedicated guards. With a dual purpose of maintaining the city's security and training new recruits, these watchful sentinels ensure the safety and order of Batur.
