Deities
Deities are the immortal guardians of existence. Most mortals can't agree on how many deities there are - some say three, others say only one. However, they all agree on deities being omniscient and capable of things beyond mortal imagination.
Basic Information
Anatomy
A deity can choose everything about their appearance. If they so choose, they can make it so that every cell in their body is a different color. They often tend to look like humanoids, but it's entirely possible for a deity to decide to look like an animal of their chosing.
Genetics and Reproduction
Pretty much exactly the same as it works for mortals.
Growth Rate & Stages
Infant
Birth to 1 year oldAn infant deity will show early signs of their powers, depending on what their domain is over. Beyond those hints, they're like a normal non-deity infant. They're entirely reliant upon their parents, as well as any other deities that are helping the parents.
An infant deity is very similar in appearance to a human infant.
Toddler
1 to 7 years oldA toddler deity is also similar to a human toddler. They're learning how to talk and walk. However, toddlerhood is also when a deity's parents will begin teaching them how to use their powers. For toddlers, the training is mainly the basics.
At this age, a deity will look anywhere from 1 year old to about 3 years old.
Young Child
7 to 430 yearsThis is when a young deity starts to be obviously different from a non-deity. This is the age at which they begin experimenting with their appearances, seeing what they enjoy seeing themselves look like. Their parents' teaching will become more in-depth here, as this is when a young deity starts to be able to handle some of the more basic powers.
A young child deity will look similar to a human child that's between 3 and 8 years old.
Teenage
430 to 562,300 yearsA teenage deity is simply a deity between childhood and adulthood, much like a human teenager. Sometimes a deity's teenage years are marked with insecurities as they start pondering their powers and their role in the grand scheme of the universe. In effect, this is when a deity starts to figure out who they are.
In their teenage years, a deity will appear similar to a human who is between 8 and 17 years old.
Adulthood
562,300 years onwardOnce a deity hits adulthood, they are fully-grown. They typically have attained mastery of all of their powers.
Most adult deities stop visibly aging by this stage, though in some cases they continue to visibly age for a little longer. However, the maximum age a deity will appear to be (without manipulating their appearance manually) is around 20 years old, give or take.
Death
Deities cannot die of "natural causes". Left to their own devices, a deity will live forever.Ecology and Habitats
Since a deity can alter their traits and appearance at will, they can adapt themselves to any environment.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Deities don't technically need to eat. When they do, it's purely for enjoyment of how the food tastes.
Biological Cycle
A deity will age to a certain point and stop visibly aging. That point is usually around mid-adulthood.
Before that point, the deity will grow and age similarly to other humanoids.
Before that point, the deity will grow and age similarly to other humanoids.
Additional Information
Social Structure
This depends entirely upon who you ask.
If you ask the Vel Tuturi, they'll tell you that the Vel Ghiti is the only god, and any others are false gods whose worshipers need to be converted or to be executed. They believe that the Vel Ghiti is the supreme ruler of existence, and that nothing else is above him.
If you ask the Church of Three Divines, they'll tell you that Mother Tiny is the head of the family, with Father Bufio helping her - both with maintaining the stability of the universe and with parenting Lady Nat.

Average Intelligence
Typically very intelligent. It's common for the deity with domain over time to be the smartest, though that sometimes is more true of the oldest deity.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
- Hearing - Unlike with mortals, a deity's hearing does not decay with age. If a deity didn't hear what you said, they're either paying attention to something else, or they're ignoring you.
- Sight - A deity's sight will always be perfect. If a deity wears glasses, they're purely cosmetic.
- Touch - This sense is as important to an infant deity as it is to an infant mortal. An infant deity will also be comforted by its parents holding it, and often this carries into adulthood (though who is doing the holding may change).
- Taste - Deities will often sit down for a meal just to enjoy how the food tastes. They can have favorite tastes, as well as tastes they do not like.
- Smell
- Magic - No matter who you ask, they will tell you that the magical capabilities of a deity are far beyond those of any mortal. If you can think of something, a deity can do it.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
A deity's parents will choose a name for their child that they like the sound of. Sometimes, a deity will choose a new name upon adulthood, to reflect the growth they've gone through.
Average Technological Level
Interestingly, it seems that deities' level of technology mirrors the level of technology of the mortals they are watching over, instead of the other way around. When a mortal species makes an advancement in technology, the deities may or may not decide to adapt the technology into their uses.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
As a general rule, deities can translate their native speech into whatever language or dialect is spoken by the one they're talking to. However, because of this, not much is known about the deities' native tongue.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Some deities see mortal species as puppets, acting out stories for their divine amusement. Others see them as children that need to be guided to being their best selves. Still others see them almost as pets.
Powers and Development
A deity's powers develop over time throughout their childhood. A deity can have domain over more than one area and have powers relating to all of these areas. A deity with multiple domains and powers will develop these powers one at a time. The domain that develops first often ends up being their strongest, while the last domain to develop often ends up their weakest.
