The Books of Hope

The actual name of the Vel Tuturi holy book is Aitroj Egyiv K'uhti, which has been translated to mean "Books of Hope".
The book itself is split into several large chapters, hence the name being "Books of Hope".
A Vel Tuturi Priest or Priestess will often know the book inside and out, being able to quote it almost instantaneously. This is partially because many of the Priests and Priestesses have studied the book to the point of memorization.
The most quoted passage from The Books of Hope is the story of how Actrein and its people were created.

Purpose

The Vel Tuturi use the Books of Hope to guide their every action according to the advising of the Vel Ghiti.
