Aesta Midnight Sports

Summer comes on Cadmeia only once every two centuries, but lasts for the same amount of time. During this time, the people of the planet do their best to enjoy the summer whilst it lasts, with the most popular celebration being the summer midnight sports. Whilst originating and being most popular in the higher latitudes of Cadmeia, where the midnight sun shines in its glory for the entire Cadmeian day. The most popular sports include skydiving, marathoning, swimming and a lot of other sports, all done under the dazzling and beautiful light of one or more of the three stars in the Angels eye star system.

History

The history of the sports date back to the very beginnings of human colonization on Cadmeia, when groups of colonists began landing around some of the higher latitudes of Cadmeia. Being summer there, the temperatures were still rather comfortable. The colonists began playing numerous sports around midnight, under the light of the midnight sun and that is where the tradition stems from.

Execution

There are many different forms of sports that are played during the Summertime midnights. The most famous of these are skydiving and swimming, as well as hiking, mountaineering etc. The only catch is that all of them are played at midnight, when the midnight sun is shining, which gives the sports their namesake.
