Dahaka Class Carrier

Amongst the myriad ships that make up the fleets of the Imperial navy, the Dahaka class Carriers stand proudest. Though incredibly young compared to some of the more venerable and time tested ships of the navy, the Dahaka has quickly become a symbol of hope and happiness. Whenever a Dahaka arrives in the line of sight of mankinds millitary, the soldiers become jovial, excited and happy beyond measure. It serves as a symbol of security, a weapon that can decimate those who terrorize mankind and its allies. A weapon forged from the metal of the gods and in the great star forges of the Imperium.
This is the Dahaka. With its dozens of bristling antimatter cannons, topped with enough weaponry to make it look like some sort of giant star fortress, the Dahaka can stand up and even destroy entire fleets of traitor warships, provided it uses the right tactics and picks on the right enemies. To add insult to injury, the Dahaka can carry tens of thousands of strike craft, which can cripple and destroy enemy ships when working together. Its antimatter cannons, can rend every material known to the sapient species of the galaxy, and not much can be done other than dodging the blasts as they can easily penetrate shields as well
The Dahaka is unique in that it goes away from traditional weaponry and incorporates more advanced ones into its frame. Whilst other Imperial warships usually eschew particle and more alien weaponry for traditional ones, the Dahaka is known to be majorly equipped with unconventional weapons that can only be found in the arsenals of alien warships. This includes antimatter cannons, a staple of Charybdian warships and Photon beams, used widely by Aenarri warships. For its anti strike craft capabilities, it also uses plasma based batteries which are radically different from those found in most Imperial warships
The Dahaka has gained a unique sort of fame in the twenty years or so it has been in service.
