Rootbeet
A medicinal plant
Rootbeet is a medicinal plant which is used commonly throughout most of Adamantia. The root is often part of the daily diets of many people as it is antibacterial, antiviral and a good antioxident. It is also often crushed into a juice which helps with digestion, it can also cure joint pains, help regulate blood sugar levels and help those with asthma.
Rootbeet leaves also helps to prevent depression, relieve dryness, itchiness or swelling and treat burns and headaches. The pungent smell also act as an insect repellent, and biting into it can even cure toothache. It can also be used to treat insomnia and protect the nervous system.
Furthermore, in summer the plant flowers, and the crushed petals from the flower can improve alertness, enhance memory power, relieve fever, cure allergies, and help skin to grow over a burn. It also helps to prevent people from being sick, prevents balding, helps prevent muscle spasms, and is often used to help treat anxiety.
However, the stems are highly poisonous, and have sharp thorns, which can easily peirce the skin. It has been said that if anyone is spiked by a Rootbeet thorn, they will be dead by the time they hit the ground. Thick gloves must be worn when handling Rootbeet.

Anatomy
Below the ground, Rootbeet has a single strong root of roughly 45 cm. Above ground, it has multiple stems with many leaves. Each stem can produce one flower.
Genetics and Reproduction
The centre of the flowers hold seeds, which in nature are blown away during the autumn after the flower dries up. Often whne used for medicinal purposes the seeds are removed and scattered by hand.
