The Palace

Primary setting of the novel, the Palace is the place of residence for the few sapients related to the emperor and his duties. Most needs are met through an AI drone system that provides food and medicine as well as upkeep of the palace grounds though the finer details of gardening are lost to the AI. Protected by drones, few people are allowed in the palace. The Palace grounds include heated baths, a garden, an ampitheatre and is located directly next to a lake.
