University Library

On the first island of the magicians university lies the library. It is a hub for knowledge that is gained not only in the university and the guild, but also the knowledge of Branos in its entierty.

Purpose / Function

The library was built long ago as a safe haven for knowledge. It has three four floors, though every floor has much more area than it would apear from the outside. On the ground floor all mundane knowledge of Branos itself is gathered. This includes not only the technological inovations, but also all Court and legal documents. Above that hisorical, fictional and any unsortable knowledge is catalogued. Finally on the top floor all arcane knowledge is perserved.

Architecture

The surface of the university is covered with large arches. In them magical reinforced stained glass harbour images of the forming of branos. Above the archway there is a grand balcony with seats for the visitors. At the top of each pillar a statue of either an archmage or a significant magician stands, watching over the guild. In front of the steps leading to the main entrance two grand lanterns with golden crystals light the streets. These lanterns were blessed by Avelana Roseheart at the opening of the library.
