EQ Pocket Crystal
The latest innovation in MagiTech, the EQ Pocket Crystal is a must for every young adventurer. Developed by the Gnome, Guatal Fleepbint, the EQ Pocket Crystal works as a long-distance communication device and research depository.
Each EQ Pocket Crystal is encoded to your unique magical energy signature. At this time, Folk can only purchase one EQ Pocket Crystal per individual. Upon purchase of your EQ Pocket Crystal, it will be fully charged at seven charges. However, every night before a long rest, you must set it under the moonlight in order to charge. The next morning, it will receive 1d4+3 charges. If you need more heavy-duty use, consider purchasing d4 energy upgrades.
Since the EQ Pocket Crystal is encoded to your unique magical energy signature, if lost or stolen it cannot be used by another person. You can also not share your EQ Pocket Crystal with another person. The EQ Pocket Crystal is virtually indestructible. Currently, the only exception to this is the successful use of the Divine Intervention upgrade. Upon a successful connection with your deity, their immense power, which comes from the EQ Pocket Crystal, will immediately burn out the EQ Pocket Crystal, leaving you with nothing but dust. The Divine Intervention feature is for emergencies only! Upon its use, you must purchase a new EQ pocket crystal and re-load all your former contacts. This includes meeting them in person to encode their magical energy signature to your Pocket Crystal.

While talking, the face of the EQ Pocket Crystal will transform to mimic a crystalline face of the Folk you are speaking with.Ciao Crysty!

A storage/telephone? A good item for all adventurers! But that price... I see this is not for the beginner, maybe an elf or a gnome with a lot of money from their family can afford it on their first day. It is an interesting device you have created here!

I wanted to make a convenient device that was out of the price range of any beginning adventurer. But also leave it up to a GM to give their players this if they wanted them to have a simpler time communicating. So an adventuring guild leader could give a team one of these EQ Crystals and use it to communicate missions from long range or add a spell slot of healing word if they don't have a healing member in their party.

Good call. I like the idea of a guild leader giving them to adventurers to catch up with them too, if they are not seen or heard from in a long time. The idea of having a healing spell on a non-healer class is also a very good idea and needed for a party that might not want an added "sidekick" for the healing.
