Minyue Catalina, a Swiftstride Shifter, has an intense thirst for knowledge, and often neglects self-care to pursue her interests.
Ever since she heard of the news of the mists parting on the Island of Ysgard, her obsession switched to this newly discovered land. She would dig up any tiny pieces of information that would emerge from the island as sent back by the first adventurers.
Five years later, she heads to the island herself, hoping to finally lay eyes on the mystery that had long driven her curiosity mad.

Minyue is 4'9 and is petite in stature.

Two feline like ears stick out of her hair. She also has a tail which often emotes her inner feelings, without her realizing it.

Minyue wears a pair of silvered spectacles, specifically made for her. Her regular attire is a blue robe with no particular markings.
She also carries around a wooden staff as her arcane focus. The staff is carved with the initials MC, and looks quite old as if it has been used for a while.

Personal history

Minyue is a scholar of a prestigious Mage's Academy in Sunderfell. Although she was not born of noble or prosperous means, her knack for the arcane at a young age had impressed a local official who was able to elevate the girl into Academia.
Her tendency to obsess over information and solving mysteries helped her immensely throughout her time at the Academy, although this greatly stunted her social growth as she absolutely had no interest in making close friends.

Education

Minyue is well studied in many academic subjects, alongside with some hyper specific information about other subjects that she's been interested in over the years.

Employment

Before leaving for Ysgard, she was officially employed with the Mages Academy as a specialties researcher.
Now she's like the rest of the adventurers on Ysgard, until she returns to the main land.

Motivation

Knowledge is power, although Minyue doesn't really seem the power part, just the knowledge. Mysteries and curio attracts her like a moth to a flame.
She chases after her obsessions with reckless abandon, although thus far it has mostly been academic in nature.

Likes & Dislikes

She's quite fond of fish... although she does think some are cute.
She greatly dislikes crowds and loud noises, although doesn't mind the sound of chatter between colleagues.

Minyue often does not stare at others, but rather at the ground.
She also adjusts her glasses constantly, although one does have to wonder... how does it work with the ears?

She obsessively keeps herself clean with the Prestidigitation spell whenever possible.

Contacts & Relations

She doesn't know that many people, since she was pretty much a recluse at school.
There's a handful of acquaintances and colleagues that she is fond of at the Mage's Academy.
She did have a close friend as a child, but they lost contact once she entered Academia.

Minyue is the daughter to two middle-class Humans of the Catalina family. Their trade is in stabling and carriages, and they live in Sunderfell.

Gods are just like another subject to her. While their fantastical powers and lore are abundant, unless she gets obsessed on a subject, it usually doesn't occur much to her.

Minyue is a short woman with what seems to be cat ears protruding from her blonde hair. Always seen with her silvered spectacles, her red feline eyes normally avoid meeting with other's.
