Niflheim
Thoroughly a part of what is known as The Domain of Chaos, if not its most widely known dominion, Niflheim is the land of the unknown, of confusion, trickery, and.. depending on who you're talking to, malice and destruction.
While these traits can all indeed be found in such a place as Niflheim, those who are more charitable and favorable to it describe it as a place of freedom and without tether. Free from law, from oppression, a land without restriction and need for confinement. Not everything that walks the grey grassy plains of Niflheim need be a demon hell-bent on destroying everything that breathes. Even further still, many would argue that a man's actions are their own. If their upbringing determines how society should view them, then is everyone who is born without a silver spoon in their mouth doomed to be labelled a demon?
It is here where many Gods pledge their allegiance to, though to point to any single "ruler" would be ignorant of what Niflheim stands for to those who follow it. The Gods who call this realm their own don't follow any sort of structured pantheon, they merely have their own claims and their own freedoms. Ordnat, The Dragon of Niflheim is not beholden to Lolth and vice versa.
Niflheim finds its place amongst the Elemental Chaos, an expanse where magic itself is said to have originated before rising into the skies far above known as the Astral Sea, and while there are indeed places such as The Abyss within the Elemental Chaos as well, Niflheim is only truly uninhabitable chaos in the lands of those who would see it that way. It can be as calm as any grass plain in Aden if Chaos wills it.
