Mayador
Miles away from the cities of Kaishah but within its territory is Mayador, the city of deceit. It is run by the Pidmaya rhakshasas. Though publicly the Pidmaya are mortal enemies of Kaishah, attacks on Mayador by the nation of the Ismat Empire are incredibly rare. The relationship between Mayador and Kaishah is full of intricacies, but the main reason beyond Kaishah not taking military action against Mayador is their guilty not so hidden symbiotic relationship.
During the day Mayador is a city of ruins. The buildings are damaged, and the residents are hard to look at. All Pidmaya have physical defects, for that is the cost of becoming a Pidmaya, that and the horrid crystal sprouting from their forehead. Mayador is full of these rhakshasas hanging around unkempt infrastructure.
But at night, when the Pidmaya have their extraordinary power of illusion, a veil of lies envelopes the city for the tourists who come to be deceived. Ruins appear as palaces, and the Pidmaya appear as gorgeous lust-worthy devs that are dripping with sexuality.
Visitors get to live out their fantasies as they try not to care that the beautiful people pleasuring them are not at all who they seem.
Aside from fulfilling sexual fantasies, others come to see lives they can never achieve. Men will to sit on a false throne and see a thousand times the gold they paid before them. Truly, it is a matter of imagination between customers nd the Pidmaya agent they work with, for any illusion has a price. Want to see childhood bullies beaten to death? Unrequited loves enslaved and obedient? An infinite amount of luxurious food? Crowds begging for your attention? A family that loves you? All gratuitous lies have a price in Mayador.
Most visitors don't even come during the day, not wanting to see the reality. Instead they will spend their hard earned money to see a different unachieved dream every night.
