Piasa

The first piasas unfolded from what was Zipacna's heart. They are four legged dragons that have the stature of a lion. Their heads are half as long as other dragons, which makes them faces slightly more catlike, though dominantly reptilian. Though technically a winged dragon with wings that come from their backs, they share a great deal with land dragons. Their scales are heavier that any other winged dragons, thought not quite as dense as a salamander's. The piasa can fly, but only up to a couple meters and only for a short period of time. More than actual flight, their wings enable them to travel faster on land and gives them a survival advantage against many other species.
