Ta'ar

Ta'ar is the patron spirit of Aristahl and has been for the reign of three shahs. Though that might seem long, most ruling spirits of amesha nations have a history that go back at least ten generation. I do not know how Ta'ar became Aristahl's spirit ruler, nor if he replaced anyone at all. Much of Aristahl's history before Ta'ar is suspiciously absent. Ta'ar is known as the Fire Spirit. Every part of him looks like fire in one form or another. He does emanate light and heat, though not as much as a real fire would. Ta'ar does have a small degree of power over flames, but because he is still a spirit, his direct power over anything physical is minimal. That being said, he should not be underestimated. There are indirect ways through which spirits can apply their great power, and though he has only been the ruling spirit of Aristahl for a short time, the nation has become hellbent on doing their part to rid the world of dragons. This is Ta'ar's doing. He takes great offense to these creatures that have a greater mastery over fire than he. I wonder also if Ta'ar has a more subtle power of convincing mortals to see things his way. Either way, regardless of your thoughts on the seriousness of the dragon threat, Ta'ar's obsession has brought Aristahl to the brink of ruin.
