The Legend of The Overgrown Sailor

This is a legend told at the southern shores of the realm.
It tells of an overgrown ship manned by creatures disfigured by a disease.

Summary

The Growing Sailor was a ship built in the year 244. It sailed the seas for decades on many trade routes. Its reputation was one of reliability, speed and durability. The stories say that it was the greatest ship ever built.
On a faithful spring day The Growing Sailor set off from the coastal city of Thane Themar. Its destination was the city of knowledge, Sha'ifi. This route was used so the cargo would not have to travel by land and cross The Diamond Peaks. 
The Grown Sialor set sail and everything went to plan. But nearing the halfway of the journey a strange mist sweeped over the ship. As soon as the crew breathed in this fog they started to feel ill. This sick feeling took over all the crew, including the captain. All the crew members began turning into sick beings of disease and plague. The captain stood in shock as he saw his entire crew turn into vile monsters of infliction. Just before the captain started morphing, he yelled a curse at the gods, and did not get a response.
To this day it is said that the now Overgrown Sailor roams the seas looking for closure. No one knows where th mist came from, or where it went. But even to this day, sailors avoid leaving the harbour if a mist is forming.
