Introduction
Terra Prime, the Capital city of the Earth Empire and (most likely) the most advaced and rich system in the entire galexy.
Origin
The Planets
The Terra system was - like the rest of the galaxy - created after the big bang, when - after many trillians of years with nothing - one day exploded into everything. The Terra system was formed from the primordal dust of the universe creating the sun, the plants, and the moons!
Though at this time, the system was still extremely dangrous for life to form or for, just about anything interisting to happen. It took another few trillion years for the system to become anything more then a wasteland, in that time 3 new planets were added to the system, those being Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, And Jupitor. These planets were some of the biggest in the entire system, but also the most inhabitable as they were all gas giants.
The Name
The Terra System was originally named "The Terranrian System" back during the 20th century, when humans had first reached space form their home planet of earth, deciding to name the solar system after their home planet. but due to many diffreant translations and shifting of words in the public eye over the centuries, it is now known as "The Terra system", still keeping its roots of being named after earth, even though humans had by this point already colonized 3 planets.
Many say it is because the name was nostalgic and was kept out of tridition, many say that it was what stuck and so it was what stayed, while some say it was because Earth had made sure it stayed that way...
Natural Occurances
Great Showers
Every century, events known as "Great Showers" occur where tons of smaller then average meteors start crashing down around the diffreant planets at diffrant speeds, causing varying amounts of damage, many historians say that it was not one big meteor that wipped out the dinosaurs, but actully one of these Great Showers, but instead of it being a ton of small meteors, it was many decenly sized ones that all crashed into earth at extremely high speeds, causing many big explotions around the planet and evently, the extention of the dinosaurs.
Great showers come in many diffreant shapes and sizes and because of that, humans have created a scale for great showers known as the Kardanov scale, named after Josiph Kardanov who was the person who created it. The scale in provided below:
