Church of Kossuth
The church of Kossuth is rather hierarchical and mostly impersonal. The church's aims tend to revolve around the acquisition of land, power, and wealth. Kossuth is believed to be one of three Elemental Primordials. Of these primordials, Kossuth is the most active and commands the largest following.
The Church of Kossuth held the most sway in the nation of Thay, and were made up of three separate clerical orders. By report, the Flaming Brazier of Eltabbar is the largest temple of Kossuth in all the realms. The church often employed monastic orders devoted to the Firelord. There were several of these orders, including the Black Flame Zealots, the Disciples of the Salamander, and the Brothers and Sisters of the Purifying Flame. Devotees of Kossuth believe in ritual burning or purification and are cremated upon their deaths.
