Mere of Dead Men

Mere of Dead Men (or Merdelain, meaning 'Slow Marching Court' in Elvish) is a swampy area located along the Sword Coast North. This vast salt marsh contains the ruins of the numerous castles, manors, and farms it swallowed as it expanded. It takes its name from the great armies that were drowned here when a powerful lich flooded their battlefield.
