The Kingdom of Tavaria, being the most diverse in the Zandel region, is mostly made up of Humans, Elves, and Dragonborn who claim allegiance to the old royal Tavail bloodline. They perfer living in larger settlements or metropolitan areas. A traditionally hardy group, they enjoy gladiatorial and woodsman sports. Tavarians are also known for their higher intellect stemming from their general fondness for knowledge and the arts.
History
During the Reign of Uall, Zandel and the surrounding region were controlled by the Royal Tavail family with its capital at Trapperdocks. The area was well known for its trade and exotic goods and was paramount in many of the trade routes. When the Uall Dynasty ended, the island fractured and the agreements forged between the elves and tribal dragonborn dissolved into the makings of a civil war. The Tavail family was able to maintain most of the lower terrain but was unable to gain an upper hand on the dragonborn in the highlands in the south and west. A hasty agreement was formed between the Tavail family and the elves from the Kingdom of Stilvia for the dual use of the town of Ninvarr, which constantly is a point of contention between the two Kingdoms depending on the ruling authority.
