Action Economy

Those whom have ever played Pathfinder 2nd edition will immediately recognize the concept here. The three action economy system is what Tales of Valerick uses.

The Barebones

So in Tales of Valerick, the three action economy functions exactly as one may be familiar. Each character on their turn in the combat round, gets three actions they can take on their turn, and one reaction to be used at any appropriate point in the round of combat from the end of their current turn to the start of their next turn. These will vary, dependent upon the actual reaction wishing to be used, some will trigger off different things. Everything you would do in combat costs some number of actions, and in the case of this, the pathfinder 2e material from the core rules for the most part are a perfect guide here, the only notable change is the change from Concentrate to 'Maintain' as the phrasing for keeping a spell or effect up. However there is one new basic action you can take, specifically with the usage of ranged weapons.

Aim: Cost, 1 action.

Requirements: Line of sight on a target in range.

Using this action grants you +4 on your next ranged attack, as well as the damage if you hit, against the chosen target so long as you take that shot this round. This action must be taken before you have attempted any attacks on your turn.
