A strange device, an explosive blast that seems to be endothermic in nature, dropping the temperature of the effected area substantially.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Craft DC: 16, Tier II; 21, Tier III; 26

Range: 60 feet

Duration: 1 minute

Base Effects: 10 foot blast radius, Dangerous (1). As the explosion is triggered, it seems to almost act as a vacuum for warmth, the sapphire and yeti intestines reacting in a wild magi-chemical reaction to produce such an effect. Any creature caught in the blast must make a Fortitude Save. If critically failed, they take double damage and suffer Slow (1) condition. If failed, they take 2d6 cold damage. If successful, they are not afflicted with the condition and take half damage. If critically successful they take no damage.

Rank II Effects: Damage increases to 4d8, radius increases to 15 feet. Inflicts Slow (2) on critical failure and Slow (1) on regular failure.

Rank III Effects: Damage increases to 6d8, the effected area also requires an Athletics Skill Test to move through for the duration, as a sheet of ice forms rapidly. Failure of this test means falling prone. Also becomes Slow (3) Condition on a critical failure, basically immobilizing them, freezing them near solid. Slow (2) on normal failure and even inflicts Slow (1) on normal success.
