Entanglement

Simple yet effective, manipulating the flora around, or even creating some where none exists if need be, lengthening and strengthening the brush, undergrowth and foliage, to entrap, ensnare, entangle, and grip at anything in the area.

Effect

Base Effects: Weaving the flows of Dulra, you guide the Emerald currents into the soil and stone, brick and dirt all about an point you focus as the epicenter, channeling the energy into the plant life and ground all about the point you are focused on. The brush and undergrowth erupts to life in a mass of grasping and gripping roots, vines and foliage. All creatures within the target area must make an Agility Defensive Test. If they fail, they become restrained for the duration, able to attempt to break free on their turn every round with a Power Defensive Test. Should they succeed, or should any creature attempt to move through the area of Entanglement, it counts as difficult terrain.

Side/Secondary Effects

Tier II Effects: Radius increases by 10 feet.

Tier III Effects: Radius Increases by 10 feet.

Manifestation

"Shite, fuck, damn it man I told ye we shouldn't have come into this valley to go pelt trappin'!" the younger man yelled, sobbing as the vines and brush wrapped around his legs, holding him down. "I told ye a druid had come into this valley, now we are gonna die."

The gray haired human in a robe that seemed almost of bark and leaves, and bits of sinew and fur and other natural materials, he chuckled, even as the elder of the two struggled silently, trying to reach for the crossbow he'd dropped. "Now, now me boyos, I have no intention of killin' anyone, I am a druid, but not in the way you use the word young man. I am an Emerald Magister, and I do not kill innocent folk. However, take heed of my warning now." Connovir smiled at them, even as he picked up the crossbow, allowing two of the vines to take grip on the steel arm, and with a gesture of his hand, had them start bending and twisting the arms until they snapped with a loud and dischordant sound that rang in the ears. "Take the lesson, and head home safely. This valley, for as long as I choose to be here, is off limits for any sport hunting, or any hunters with the sorts of intent that you young men had. Fur trapping and leaving the rest of the carcass behind, taking a life without utilizing all that creature offers to you? It goes against the cycle and concept of what hunting is meant to be naturally. So remember this fear and lesson. Hunt with proper intention. Now when I release you, head for home."
