Valerick World Atlas

"Ahh indeed a fellow traveler, so glad to be of service! You hold in your hands the atlas written by none other than Mar'elin Du'ristic, true grandmaster of his craft, and those of the faith of Feyheart, the Eternal Traveler for all the work they do. This is the first of its kind, published two decades ago, so though likely somewhat out of date now, as the various nations move to expand into the wild spaces, as we enter full speed into a period of industrialization and expansion, it is more accurate than any alternative on the market currently. Painstakingly it maps settlements large and small, nations and their borders, wild unclaimed lands, both known and not well explored. Places of danger, known threats. Trade routes, railways, major roads, all this and more is contained within. A true masterpiece, a magnum opus fitting of being the memorial of his long elven life. So traveler, take heed, read well, and offer some thanks to Mar'elin next time you pass a shrine or temple of Feyheart. For surely, there is no other of the Ascended that is more fitting to thank and ask to watch over his spirit."

Within these pages you shall find many maps and written works meant to aid you in traveling Valerick, my extensive travel logs, if you will. Countries, a brief note of some of their unique cultural customs and laws, cultural things to be aware of. Geographic considerations, climate, as well as the sorts of foods and drink you can expect, and those unique ones you simply must try as part of your experience. The more wild areas will have brief notes of the sorts of flora and fauna one can expect, particularly any unique sorts one may wish to try and observe and document, or avoid at all costs. Cities and other settlements will have a brief entry of course, and will note at least a place or two of interest to visit. Roads, Railways, Sky-Ports, and Marine Ports will all be marked and noted. Thoughout the subsequent tomes you can find the most complete and substantial guide to traveling Valerick, this world we call home. I do hope they convey at least some of the wonder and joy of this place, this world we call home unto you as well, though mere written words, maps, and still arts or portaits can only convey so much. To truly experience it one must travel it, must live and breathe it. So my ultimate hope is to inspire a desire to travel. Whether it just be to a neighboring city, or cross country or even to explore wild and forgotten regions across the continents, I hope I impart a bit of that desire upon you, dear reader.   Sincerely   Mar'elin Du'ristic, Grandmaster Cartographer
