Wind Philter

One of the more complex potions in a pharmacist's arsenal, this concoction actually responds to the will of the user, as do all eight of these such concoctions, having one of two sets of effects based upon the will of the person consuming it.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

CN: 15, Tier II; 20, Tier III; 25

Duration: 1 minute

Basic Effects: Before consumption, the person consuming it must declare their intention, which is merely offensive or defensive. Offensive: For the duration, you gain a 15 foot cone breath weapon you may use as an Action. Targets in the area to be effected may attempt an Agility Defense Test against the chemist's set TN. The breath weapon does 2d8 lightning damage, or half upon a successful Defense Test. Those that fail are also afflicted with Stunned (1). Once used you roll 1d6, and do so every round that is necessary until you roll a 5 or a 6, upon which point the breath weapon recharges. Defensive: You roll any Defense Tests against sources of Lightning damage or being affected by the Stunned condition with Momentum.

Rank II Effects: Lasts 10 minutes. Offensive: The breath weapon now deals 3d8 lightning damage. Defensive: You have Resistance to Lightning Damage.

Rank III Effects: Lasts 1 hour. Offensive: The breath weapon now deals 4d8 lightning damage. Defensive: You have Immunity to Lightning Damage.
