From Wild Beasts to Domestic Companions, Valerick's Diverse Animal Kingdom.

Within this first publication, and likely the 2nd largest tome of the The Wilds and Whims of the Natural World encyclopedic series we will explore the most mundane and numerous of kingdoms, that of the Animal kingdom. This kingdom was so numerous it had to be split into the mundane and the magickal, two separate edition, as demanded by most publishers we attempted to work with. Elsewise it would simply be to large and unwieldy a tome to sell. So thusly, we have the mundane animal kingdom. However do not let the lack of the arcane fool you dear reader. The animal kingdom is full of fascinating and unique creatures, with strange and wonderous abilities, habits and even complex and varied social structures that have notable comparables to that of sapient societies! There are many fascinating and interesting creatures within this tome worth studying and learning about and I would encourage any fellow enthusiast of the natural world to begin their journey here, or with the Botanical Beauties and Bastards publication covering the wide variety of interesting types, groups and unique species of Flora one can find all across Valerick.

As always we offer the disclaimer that what is presented here is far from an exhaustive list or understanding. There are always new species to discover it seems, and as such, an endeavor such as this is never going to be one hundred percent up to date. However we did strive to be as thorough and when necessary, adventurous as required in our study and pursuit of this massive project, all in hopes of guiding future generations of naturalists and amateur enthusiasts alike. So with that we hope you find this tome a font of aide, knowledge, and both an enjoyable exploration and useful research tool.
