Mountain Lion, Corrupted

Mountain lions are relatively common in The Cyrengreen Forest, especially for an elven ranger like Jandaelyn. But there was something different about the pair that appeared on the party's first night in the forest.
The skin of the lions appeared to be peeling off or rotting away. Beneath the skin, they dripped blood that was black as night. And their behavior was off as well. Mountain lions wouldn't attack humans, except in the most extreme cases, let alone attacking a whole group. Something about these lions was . . . corrupted somehow.
