Stanley Field is a wealthy businessman, serving as vice president of the Marshall Field & Co. chain, chairman of the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company, and president of the Field Museum of Natural history.
While Field is an American, he was born and raised in Manchester, England. His father had moved there to establish a European purchasing office for Marshall Field.
