Leonin

Leonin (see DnDBeyond for Leonin statblock and racial features)   Leonin are relatively new to Greece, Zeus, King of the Gods, finally satisfied with his mastery over creation- chose a new warden for the Godsgreen Forest, the heroic and mighty Leonin.   These sinewy lion-like humanoids are ferocious warriors and predators alike and highly enjoy their station of guarding both the divine forest of Olympus but it's entrance too. The Leonin's warrior-nobles make up the majority of their population in the Olympic Plains, their hunters and brutes patrolling both the savannah path to and the magical wilds of the Godsgreen. As they slowly found their place at the side of the Gods' and in Greece, the feral nature of the the Leonin settlers has tamed slightly and they unveiled their unique and amazing architecture when they unveiled a capital of their own- Oreskos.   In the last 25 years however, Zeus himself contacted Pridelord Brimaz to start amassing his troops for war and prepare the Leonin did. Military and warrior-noble families formed small, specialized squadrons for battle but as the thousands of troops and Brimaz himself awaited to enter the Trojan War, the Gods' word never came. And after relying on the Gods' so much in their relatively new existence, the Leonin masses fell into disarray as for the first time in their history, the prideful warriors faced an enemy they could not fight with tooth, claw, or weapon.   The Pridelord managed to keep enough of his people satisfied with a new sense of purpose and it seemed that most Leonin were content with claiming more of the Godsgreen and relying more on themselves. In the following months a number of the more battle-hungry pride houses, believing they were following what Zeus intended, set out into Greece to police and govern the 'damned and sinful' humans and their ilk.   Leonin in Aeatheric Greece are a varied and capable bunch, their martial prowess suits many classes but the its their majesty and composure that lulls many to believe they are more reserved than wild, an opportunity that many Leonin are happy to pounce on.
