Oracles (Elves)
Oracles (see DnDBeyond for statblock, racial abilities and features.)
Sun (High) Oracles of Delphi, Moon (Drow) Oracles and Wilds (Wood) Oracles of Lunavia City. Smaller sects of Oracles have also been reported in Greece - the water oriented Ocean Oracles, and the newly discovered Fey Oracles.
After the War of the Titans nearly a millennia ago, the Oracles who supported the Titans were exiled and forced into hiding throughout the Ageless Forest. The oracles carried the last blessings of the favored Titans - Asteria for the Moon Oracles, Rhea for the Wilds Oracles, and Hyperion for the Sun Oracles. The ancient influence guiding them to safety of the forest, establishing Lunavia City as a refuge for all Oracles who were refused by Olympus, the last of the Titan magic, obscuring them from the Gods' vision, at least for a time.
Eventually, Olympus learned of not only how the Oracles survived, but continued to thrive, learning fantastic magic abilities through themselves and assisted by the Lord of Beasts - Chiron. Initially furious, a number of Gods instead saw an opportunity to gain favor again with this now prosperous people. Apollo, Athena, Demeter, Aphrodite, Dionysus appeared in the new settlement of Delphi and made an offering to the Oracles, attempting to turn a new leaf and open communication up once more. A number of Oracles who were still very faithful to the Titans that gave everything for them, were disgusted by the Gods' attempt to replace their idols - the Moon and Wilds Oracles retreated from Delphi, while some of the more hopeful Sun Oracles, were ready to believe again and be rewarded for their faith.
Apollo performed a miracle for the Sun Oracles, raising up a magnificent city of dazzling architecture and light, unheard of in the mortal world - using both the ancient Oracle aesthetic (and a bit of Olympus itself), the Sun Oracles were raised above the other Oracles in statue and have never looked back.
The rift between the Sun Oracles and the Moon/Wilds still exist, although the founding of 'new' Delphi took place nearly 800 years ago. A number of trade routes and alliances were created to connect the Oracle peoples, but a number of nobles in each society still talk down of either side.
Gameplay Changes-
Wilds Oracles. Mask of the Wild racial ability now grants the ability to Hide as a bonus action.
Moon Oracles. Sunlight Sensitivity no longer affects the Oracles- though, being nocturnal they do enjoy the twilight.
