The Southern Crux

In the years following the Trojan War however, with the landmass of Greece slowly and subtly growing- Socrux has seen an influx of traffic and their population increasing as well. It is the nearest lodgings outside of Athens.

Demographics
A simple yet charming trading outpost, majority of population and store owners are humans but hearts are open to all with coin. Mostly simple traders and shops, though a handful of skilled artisans can be found in Socrux.
Government
There is no real established government, as Athens' lists the Southern Crux as under their protection and jurisdiction though guards infrequently are posted here, a number of the tenured shop owners run a small council to manage the outpost's needs when they arise.
Defences
A handful of retired adventurers, mercenaries, and shop owners have emergency defenses set up but no true organized guard.
Industry & Trade
Merchant's, traders, and travelers keep this outpost alive. Mostly simple farmers and trappers offer small pelts and basic foodstuffs, a number of specialty shops in town manage to thrive despite either rare and/or expensive goods.
Infrastructure
A natural road carved into a small series of rocky hills, the Southern Crux is naturally protected from the heat and wind, a number of the main established buildings have been carved into the rock or build in or around them. Near the center of the clearing on the property of the Highwayman, an ancient olive tree grows and houses the inn's tavern.
Tourism
The Gold Leaf Tavern - the only other tavern in Socrux, but has a wider selection of drinks. A not well-kept secret is that in the basement of the tavern the family runs a fighting pit known as the The Gilded Ring.
The Highwayman - the only inn within the Southern Crux, their tavern is built both into and within an ancient olive tree, without damaging nor harming it. Run and owned by Hestus Rex.
Architecture
Mostly white stone homes are carved into the rocky hills in and around Socrux, simple huts and tents are scattered throughout the southern hills of the outpost for those not wealthy enough to afford a more permanent shelter.
