What childhood memory still makes your toes curl? 

There are many things... my childhood was not the best according to 13... I- I think my worst memory was my mother's 40th birthday. On other people's birthdays or mine I actually always got 2 meals a day which doesn't happen very often a year, but this day was different, I was caught sleeping in my fox form the day before, I didn't know how this happened, but I was sprayed with what I always called [mean spray]. 
I usually only got 1 or 2 sprays of the mean spray, but this day was particularly bad my father started to wet me over and over again with this spray and after 10 minutes I stopped counting how many times he did this. After a while my skin started to cauterize and the pain got worse and worse I didn't know what to do. But after a long time he left. I sometimes knew how to relieve the pain I quickly changed into my kitsune form. This way I can stand the pain much more. I thought my father was done with me, so I thought nothing of it and stayed in my fox form for a shorter time. But I feel so much more comfortable in my fox form I just feel freer and stronger... But my father thought otherwise and came to visit me again - this time with my mother, which was even worse. They looked at me and my mother said, "do it, I don't care how much it hurts, she deserves it" and I didn't know what was in front of me. 
I looked at my father and begged him I promised to be a good daughter and I told him I was sorry for the way I was, I didn't want to be like that myself.... my father looked me in the eye and took his favourite knife in his hand. I looked at him and started to run away. Deeper into my little room. He ran after me, covered my mouth and stabbed me under the eye with the knife. I started to scream and bleed extremely. I hid in the corner and my life passed me by.
My father looked at me as if he was proud of what he had done to me and went back upstairs. I tried to stop the bleeding but didn't know how. The pain was indescribable I don't know how I didn't die that day. I was so lucky that my father missed the eye otherwise I would have lost my sight.
On that particular day I lost all the love and respect I had for my parents. I thought "maybe they will heal me" or "I'm sure others will go through this too, I just have to stay strong" but after that day I knew it couldn't be normal. Since that day I wear my eye patch when I am around many people. I don't want people to see directly that I used to be weaker than I am now. I want people to see that I am strong and intelligent. I am freer and stronger than ever before. 
I am so grateful for 13 ^^
