Children of Ishenalyr
The Children of Ishenalyr are a semi-religious organization which venerates green dragons, in particular the ancient green dragon Ishenalyr. Their belief system stems from their proximity to his lair within Eryn Sael as well as his connection to Silvestris.
Druids within the Circle of Dreams and Circle of the Forest are drawn to Ishenalyr's call, in addition to paladins who take the Oath of Ancients and rangers within the Fey Wanderer conclave. Ishenalyr's ability to access the plane of Silvestris has many to believe the falsehood that the green dragon and the fey are allies. Instead, Ishenalyr has a propensity to corrupt fey and sylvan creatures to serve his agenda.
Structure
The Children of Ishenalyr only operate within the borders of Eryn Sael, venturing past the trees only in times of need. Unlike other cults which may have different groups spread over a region, the children are localized and retain proximity to the green dragon. Leading the children is the Wyrmspeaker, an individual who speaks directly with Ishenalyr and conveys his will to others within the ranks. The speaker is always a wood elf.
Worship
Worship of the ancient green dragon entails acquiring wealth and knowledge from the outside world. This requires followers of the cult to venture forth from the safety of the forest and into society. Utilizing skills such as misdirection and subterfuge, members will look to acquire information held in confidence.
