Brumil and Makil
The Defenders
The Dwarves of Agruk believe that their Great Halls were first delved by Brumil and Makil. Separate and yet the same, Brumil and Makil are sometimes also called The Twins, and to serve one without the other is to be a heretic. Most Dwarves believe that Brumil and Makil are but two sides of the same coin, with Makil the face of Fortification and Honor, and Brumil the face of War and Vengance.
These days, the actions of Brumil and Makil are mostly seen in the magnificence of the Dwarven Grand Halls in Makilshome and Brumilspine. As the first Dwarven fortresses, these are by far the longest standing and most magnificent, and also function as the center of Dwarven politics. It is believed that whenever the Grand Halls are threatened, The Defenders return to repel the incursion, and indeed there are several such recorded historical events.
