Concentration and Opportunity Attacks

Opportunity Attacks

When a creature enters your Threatened Range, you can use your Reaction to attack them.

Reach

If your weapon has more than 5ft of reach, it has Disadvantage on attacks against targets closer than their reach.

Overwatch

You can enter Overwatch by spending at least 1 Attack and half of any unused movement you have for that round. While in Overwatch, if a target you can see moves at least 5ft, then you can use the rest of your movement immediately and make one attack against them with Disadvantage.   If you saved at least 2 Attacks, then the attack does not have Disadvantage. If you saved at least 3 Attacks, then the attack has Advantage.   The Overwatch ends at the start of your next turn, or after you use it.

Maneuver

You can prepare a Maneuver by expending at least 10ft of your movement and naming a trigger. If you see the named Trigger, you can immediately move up to half of the movement you prepared for the Maneuver. Common triggers are listed below:
  • If an enemy casts an AoE spell.
  • If the target tries to escape.
  • If the enemy reveals itself.
  • If the trapdoor opens and reveals the key.
Once during a Maneuver, you can expend 5ft of your movement to do an Object Interaction.

Concentration

When you cast a spell that requires Concentration, note the result of your Casting Check. Your Concentration is broken if you suffer damage equal to double your Casting Check for the spell.   When a creature deals damage more than once in a single turn (such as from Multiattack), all of the damage is added together before checking if your Concentration is broken.

War Caster Feat

Instead of its usual effects, the feat grants the following.
  • You have Advantage on Casting Checks while in combat.
  • When you suffer damage that breaks your Concentration on a spell, you can force the spell to linger until the end of your next turn, though it ignores any further commands.
  • You have a number of Specialist Spells that you are particularly skilled at casting. These spells must deal damage, and their total level cannot exceed your Proficiency + Spellcasting Modifier. You have Expertise on Casting Checks with these spells, and can use them to make Opportunity Attacks. You can exchange one Specialist Spell during an Extended Rest.

Sentinel Feat

Instead of its usual effects, the feat grants the following.
  • Your Opportunity Attacks do not use up your Reaction. However, you have a cumulative -2 penalty to each Opportunity Attack after the first in a given round.
  • When your AOO hits, the target cannot get any closer to you for the rest of their turn unless they win an opposed Exertion Check.
  • Creatures you threaten provoke AOOs from you when targeting creatures other than you with spells or attacks.
