Haste
3rd Level Transmutation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: V S M (a small acorn and a whisker from a squirrel)
Duration: Concentration up to 1 minute
Classes: Sorcerer, Wizard
One willing creature you can see within range gains the following benefits for the duration:
- Quick Strikes: make one additional attack as part of the Attack Action.
- Hard to Hit: +2 to AC and Advantage on Dex Saves.
- Lightning Quick: all of your speeds double.
When the effect ends, the target is
Staggered until the end of their next turn as they are hit by a wave of lethurgy.
Additionally, the target can end the effect before it runs out to allow themselves to take an extra Action on that turn. If they do, then they are
Stunned for 1d4 rounds instead of being Staggered for 1 round.
Upcasting
For each spell level by which you upcast Haste, you can target one additional creature.
Slow
3rd Level Transmutation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Components: V S M (A drop of molasses or honey)
Duration: Concentration up to 1 minute
Classes: Sorcerer, Wizard
When you cast this spell you can choose to target a
single creature, or a 40ft cube. If you target a single creature, they are affected for the duration of the spell. If you target a 40ft cube, the cube lingers for the duration of the spell, slowing everything within.
Creatures affected by Slow suffer the following detriments:
- Slow Down: all of your speeds are halved.
- Like Molasses: you suffer -2 to your AC and have Disadvantage on Dex Saves.
- Too Slow: you cannot take Reactions, and cannot use Extra Attack or Multiattack.
When this spell targets a specific creature, that creature can attempt a
Cha Save at the end of each of their turns to end the effect. When the effect ends, if the target was a specific creature, the affected creature gains a burst of energy and can immediately move up to half their speed and use a Bonus Action (or make a single attack if they have Extra Attack or Multiattack).
When this spell targets a 40ft cube, all creatures within the cube are subject to the effect with no save. Exiting the cube ends the effect, but does not give a burst of energy like the single target version. Creatures within the cube have Resistance to all damage that relies on physical propulsion (including weapons and falling) since objects within the cube are slowed as well. Attacks from outside the cube have Disadvantage, and ammunition fired into the cube becomes harmless after 5ft.
Upcasting
For every spell level by which you upcast Slow, it affects an additional creature, or the cube's width increases by 10ft.
