Mekshtiss

The Giver

Mekshtiss is one of the stranger deities known to Aedeva. She is frequently lauded by thieves and the poor, and generally scorned by the ungenerous rich. Also frequently referred to as the god of the unwanted, to receive Mekshtiss' blessing is to have previously had no chance. She is said to enjoy her followers stealing from the rich to give to the poor.
These days, followers of Mekshtiss tend to gather in the slums of cities, where her followers are most prominent. Her temples are always modest, as almost all of the money goes to the needy in and around the temple. Other followers of Mekshtiss act much like Robin Hood. These are almost always outlaws, for obvious reasons, but are said to have little to fear from the law, so long as they continue to be generous with what they earn. Mekshtiss despises people who take advantage of the poor or who are greedy.
