The Maker

The Maker, Watcher of Ways

Tiln, the Maker, is one of the lesser known of the Constellations. Believed to take primary residence in Chedonc, much of her following was wiped out when the Goblin King first conquered Chedonc in the early 3800s.
Still, the legends of Wanderers live on, and rare is the traveling merchant who does not call on Tiln's name at some point in their travels.
It is said that before the goblin invasion, Tiln herself wandered the lands of Chedonc to fight evil wherever it occurred. In fact, there is considerable historical and even cultural evidence of this, as many scholars believe this to be the reason behind the superstitions that cause modern Snatchers avoid Chedonc.
Naturally, no summary, biased or otherwise, of The Maker would be complete without some mention of the Grand Artifacts¹. There is much speculation around the exact nature of these artifacts, and while nearly nothing is known as to their nature, it cannot be denied that historical evidence points to their existence.
Truly, The Wandering lives on most vigorously in the legend of the Grand Artifacts. Perhaps through this legend, The Wandering will live on to grow anew.






1 For the uninitiated, these "Grand Artifacts" are said to be the last great creations of Tiln before her decline. No reputable source is known to have any information on their nature beyond the simple fact of their existence. Nonetheless, the very idea of their existence has sparked numerous expeditions throughout the world, none of which were successful. Regardless of the truth behind this myth, there is no question as to its cultural significance in modern societies.
