Aasimar
"They say that once the world was new, the Forgotten Gods were using the world as their laboratories. Using the Divine Essence they were given by the Dual Dragons to create most of the races we see today. The Gods however, needed servants and warriors. A group of people who could serve the Gods until they die, a loyal group of people who would protect the Gods a top of Mount Celeste. And that's where the Aasimars come in. Now, with most of them dead, the race hangs on its last limbs, a symbol of a time lost." - Esarius. The World ArchivistThe Aasimars were created with the idea of being the ideal Sentinel in mind by the Dual Dragons. Being the only race that could live atop of Mount Celeste, they were tasked with protecting the Gods of the Forgotten Pantheon from the stray demons or devils that would enter Mount Celeste. They were the front line fighters during the Uprising Wars, and as such, almost 99.9% of the Aasimars died during this war, ultimately dooming the race to near extinction. Many Aasimar that survived, fled from Mount Celeste and entered Aedir, losing their wings in the process and almost all of their celestial powers. These Fallen Aasimar, were given the opportunity to start life anew, but they are still haunted by the trauma of the Uprising Wars.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Aasimar were created in the likeness of Rovun's Humans. They are slightly taller than humans averaging about 6 feet tall and on average weigh the same as Humans. Natural Aasimars have very pale skin, but those that have Fallen and have integrated into Beorc society have darker skin. The key difference between Aasimars is that they can sprout their wings from their back, while some can constantly keep their wings out, for others it is extremely draining on one's stamina. Fallen Aasimar do not have access to these wings, and instead, charred bones sprout from their back, a reminder of their descent into Aedir.
Also, useful to the pure Aasimar is their Halo, which is actually considered a part of their body. While a sign of their divinity, Aasimar can choose to condense their Halo to release a blinding light or a devastating attack, turning them into a Fallen Aasimar, as they gave up their angelic side. Fallen Aasimar do not have halos.
Genetics and Reproduction
Aasimars can produce normally. While that is the case, the birth rate during their time was almost non-existent. This is due to multiple factors, the first being that most Aasimars can live for almost eternity, which hampered their ability to have children. To the Aasimars atop of Mount Celeste, having children was seen as taboo in Aasimar society. Why take time away from making sure Mount Celeste is secure to have children? pure Aasimar can also only reproduce with other fellow Aasimar, which is the main reason why their numbers have yet to recover, because most of them are dead.
Fallen Aasimars, due to falling down to Aedir, can reproduce with any Beorc race. The Gestation period is similar to that of a human, which is around 9 months. When the baby is born, there is a 50% chance that the child is a Fallen Aasimar, while the other half is that the child is the other parent's race.
Growth Rate & Stages
For pure Aasimar, their growth stage mirrors that of a Human, except for the fact that they stop physically aging when they turn into an adult, allowing them to keep this form. This time is multiple a bit, so an Aasimar around the age of 100 would be equivalent to that of a 30 year old Human. Fallen Aasimar have the same growth stage as a regular Human and live to be just a bit older than a Human around 120 years total. Fallen Aasimar however, do age, and when a pure Aasimar removes their Halo, they rapidly age to match the Human equivalent.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Aasimar eat like regular Beorc do. They don't necessarily have to eat, but most Aasimar maintain relatively healthy diets as it increases the effectiveness of their magic. Other than that, there is nothing else of note about their dietary needs or habits.
Additional Information
Facial characteristics
Aasimars, both pure and fallen, cannot grow facial hair under no circumstances.
Average Intelligence
Aasimar are a very smart race, as their intelligence was inherited from the Gods themselves. Most pure Aasimar know a lot of the worlds secrets that even some of the academics from Aedir don't even know. Fallen Aasimar have average intelligence, while a bit smarter than their Human counterparts due to holding some sort of direct connection to the Gods.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Aasimars have access to Darkvision, granting them the ability to see farther into the darkness compared to some of the other races upon Aedir. This was granted to them by the Dual Dragons as a precaution in the event that Darkness ever overtook the world.
Other than that, there is nothing else of note that increases the Aasimar's perceptive abilities.
Civilization and Culture
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Aasimars mainly speak the Celestial tongue that the Gods often spoke in. However, Fallen Aasimar have mastered speaking Common as well, as it helped them blend into society easily if they learned their native tongue.
Common Taboos
One of the main Taboos in Aasimar culture before the Uprising Wars is the idea of having children. This is a taboo, because many of the Aasimar see it as a waste of time, as taking nine months out of your life to produce a child is nine months that you could be defending Mount Celeste.
History
The Aasimar were created with the perfect warrior and protector in mind. The Forgotten Gods created them using the Divine Essence the Dual Dragons gave them. The Aasimar quickly became accustomed to being the Gods protectors and living atop Mount Celeste. This altered how their society works slightly, making it weird if a Human were to experience it. The Aasimar didn't really have family or felt love at all. They could still feel emotion and love if they really tried, but they very rarely felt love because it was deemed a waste of time by the Gods who created them.
Tragedy would strike the Aasimar people though. As they were seen as the main protectors of Mount Celeste, the Aasimar were in the front lines during the Uprising Wars. This would ultimately destroy the Aasimar population, dwindling their numbers from millions to less than a hundred. Many of those hundred Aasimar fled Mount Celeste, threw away their halos and crashed into Aedir, becoming Wingless (or Fallen Aasimar). From there, the Fallen Aasimar began slowly integrating into Beorc society.
Pure Aasimar numbers would never recover. This is due to the extremely low birth rate among the Aasimar as they get older and the fact that most of them were killed in the Uprising Wars. The tale of the Aasimar is not only a sad one, but a forgotten one at that. Many of the sacrifices of the Aasimar to fend off the demons will never get noticed by many of the people living on Aedir.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
For pure Aasimar, they almost never interacted with any of the races on Aedir, unless it was a very special case. For the Fallen Aasimar, most of the descendants have completely integrated into Beorc society to the extent that they might not even consider themselves Aasimar anymore, and instead consider themselves a Human variant.

Fallen Aasimar - 120 years
Conservation Status
Most, if not all of the Aasimar located in the Multiverse are dead. As most Aasimars didn't reproduce, due to the fact that they not only believed they were unkillable but also because of their lifespan, the Aasimar population has dwindled to the point that they could be considered extinct in today's world.
Only those that betrayed the Angels and defected during the Uprising Wars are the last remnants of the Aasimar that used to protect and serve the Gods as their sentinels. These Aasimar are called the "Wingless" or Fallen Aasimar in Academic circles. These Fallen Aasimar are the only races that can reproduce with the Beorc of Aedir.

Fallen Aasimar - 5 feet
Average Physique
Aasimars, both pure and fallen, are extremely well built. When created by the Gods, they envisioned the Aasimars as the ideal and perfect protector of Mount Celeste. In doing so, they made the Men and Women extremely fit and muscular. In doing so, they made Aasimars the ideal fighters, which served them well in the Uprising Wars.
