Papaya
Papaya is an Tanned Goblin who grew up in a now forgotten village full of goblin racists. Those who know Papaya would be aware of her insatiable curiosity and tendency to run into trouble wherever she goes. She is very outgoing (under normal circumstances) and is always trying to learn new things about the world.
While she was once solely an alchemist, Papaya has since taken a more religious stance toward the world. She was briefly a cleric of Zylo, but soon shifted her loyalty to Torinn.
The most notable thing about Papaya is the scars that riddle her entire body. For some, it is unsightly to see even just a normal goblin, but it is even worse to see one so scarred and disfigured. For others, Papaya is just another friendly face found within dark places. At least, she tries to be friendly.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Papaya is very thin, she does not have a lot of muscle and is generally weak as a result.
Body Features
Papaya has a variety of scars all over her body. The ones that are usually visible are those on her arms and legs. She has huge gashes across each limb that suggests they were almost completely cut off. She also has two of her fingers cut off, her middle finger on her right hand and her pinky finger on the left hand.
She has small, vertical scars that circle around her forearm as if they were cut by blades.
Her neck has two scars that slash down her collar bone, which is slightly mis-aligned, suggesting it might have been broken and healed incorrectly in the past.
Her torso has the worst of all the scarring. There is a large chunk of her right torso skin missing and is covered in scar tissue that looks extremely painful to live with.

Facial Features
Much like her body, Papaya's face is also scarred. Her right eye has been slashed down the middle, making her completely blind in that eye. She has a smaller scar across her nose. Similarly to the collar bone, her nose is slightly mis-aligned. Papaya's right ear has been almost completely torn off. Her left ear has many earrings in it, but a chunk of them have been ripped down toward the cartilage.

Overall, Papaya's body is very asymmetrical. Many scars and broken bones that didn't heal right cause her to always seem a little off balance.
Since she is blind in one eye, she tends to listen rather then look, making it easier for her to navigate in the dark.
She is very aware of her posture, making sure to sit and stand upright properly.
Her hair always flows upward, even when wet or combed downward. It always looks unusually shiny but well-kept.

Papaya's magic typically takes on the form of a light purple and blue mist, but sometimes it can turn completely black and grey.

Papaya typically wears practical clothing that allows for easy mobility. She has many different bags, bottles and books on her person at all times. She wears a metal studded apron with cooking utensils strapped to its side. She wears small jewelry including a necklace with three pearls, 4 earrings made of an unknown metal and has recently taken a liking to wearing a flower of some hand in her hair.

Personal history
Papaya grew up in a forgotten village that was heavily racist against Tanned Goblins, or as the village called them; Amber Goblins. Papaya was raised by a loving Halfling in the village named Handel. Handel was very protective of Papaya as she was a goblin in a xenophobic community. Handel always tried to keep Papaya away from the horrors of the village around them, and thus, he often isolated her from other kids her age in the village.
With this isolation came curiosity for Papaya. She would begin to ask question after question, and when her exhausted father could no longer answer, he would provide her books on the topics she was interested in. Over the years, Papaya became an avid collector of knowledge. She wanted to learn EVERYTHING. But as she continued her pursuit of knowledge, she felt she needed to get out of the house in order to properly learn things. After months of asking, Papaya was finally allowed to leave the house on her own to explore. However, it didn't go well for her.
When Papaya was 12 she went out into the forest alone to study the birds. She would wander around, making sure to track her steps so she wouldn't get caught into the magic of the forest. Turns out, Papaya was followed by a couple of rotten kids from the village. They started to follow and harass her. Papaya tried to climb up a tree to get away from them, but they quickly caught her and threw her onto the ground. One of the kids pinned her head into the dirt while another grabbed their knife and cut off two of her fingers. Luckily, Papaya's screams alerted Handel and he got there in time to stop the whole ordeal before it escalated.
After that experience, Papaya knew she had to be more careful not to get caught by the rest of the townsfolk again. However, she wasn't very lucky, as later on she would get one of her bottom fangs and her earrings ripped out a year or so later.
As these events occurred, Papaya started to craft her own routes around the forest and village to avoid these people. She took note of the daily routines of the people who hurt her and used that information to avoid them at all costs.
Papaya still found herself to be trapped in the house, as Handel became even more protective of her after the incident. When she got older, around 18, she started to sneak out on her own to study the wildlife, religions, etc. It wouldn't be until she was 19 years old that she would wander off on her own to the summer temple. She didn't realize her life would completely change as the events of The Hidden/Forgotten Village and The Underdark Depths campaign events would take place.

Papaya has had multiple traumatic events in her life. She was severely mutilated as a baby, had her fingers cut off, her teeth pulled out, bones broken and ears ripped apart from other kids in the village. She watched the village, along with her father, get turned to dust. She was killed in the most painful way possible and then had to feel the pain of that death in reverse when she was revived. That is just the early stuff.
Overall, Papaya has become jumpy and suspicious of people because of these experiences. She is often reminded of these experiences through the smallest of gestures, objects, etc. And after some events that appear in The Underdark Depths, Papaya has become very unstable. Papaya is now looking to learn to accept her feelings instead of bottling them up and letting them fester.

Papaya is the type of person to want to learn everything. While her obsession with knowledge started with alchemy, it has expanded into a desire to learn as much as she can about any given topic. Unfortunately, this need for knowledge has grown into a lack of self-preservation. Papaya has little care for her own well-being unless she is immediately about to die. Papaya will jump head first into any dungeon, cave, etc. If it means acquiring knowledge on a topic, item or anything really.

Papaya is the alignment of Chaotic Good. She is the type who will shoot you for the greater good. She tries to do what is right regardless of what any laws say. However, her fear and anxiety can sometime cloud her judgment. When she is sent into Fight or Flight mode, all that "greater good" stuff is thrown out the window as she just focuses on trying to stay alive.

Papaya's main motivation right now is to get better. She doesn't want to continue to live in fear of a monster whose already dead. She is further motivated by the prospects of a whole new world to study. She wants to understand all types of magic, cultures, languages, etc. She wants to use the knowledge she has gained to help save the world from the threat of the amber as well.

Papaya enjoys reading and cooking the most. Her favorite things to read are history books and her favorite meal to cook is roasted rabbit. She likes bird watching and taking walks through a forest.

Papaya is a cleric of Torinn, The Hallowed Star. She has taken on the religious view that no one deserves to be in pain like she was when she was erased from existence. She wants to help people and relieve them of their pain, even if it means taking it on herself. Though, she does not plan to start doing this until she is mentally able to do so.

Papaya switches between casual discussion and scientific jargon at the drop of a hat. Papaya finds that she is often unable to properly express her feelings into words.
