Orc
The history of the Orcs in Aelburn is a tumultuous one. These largely nomadic tall green-grey skinned humanoids have earned themselves a reputation as peerless and efficiently brutal warriors. Many will claim that the orcs are dim-witted savages that only know how to pillage from others. This reputation is not wholly unearned, at least in terms of the orcish penchant for nomadism and occasional raids on larger civilizations, but claims that the species are unintelligent brutes is demonstrably false.
Their physical attributes , and social predjudice, against them often cause orcs to find work as mercenaries, taking whole families along with the companies. At times, an orcish mercenary company can have up to 3 generations of warriors making up their ranks.
Orcs are practical salvagers and cunning smiths. While their smithing capability is not as refined and graceful as the elves, nor as sturdy as the dwarves, an orcish engineer will be able to maintain machines of war far longer than either race; continually patching and making field repairs to their equipment. In combination with their martial prowess, this 'salvage and scavenge' allows an orcish army to outlast their competition through sheer attrition alone.

Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
While orcs can be found throughout all of Aelburn, many orc-dominated communities are nomadic and rarely settle in one spot. This can be attributed to scarcity of resources, hostilities from neighboring civilizations, and the traveling required for herding animals or conducting large-scale mercenary warfare. Large Orc-dominated settlements are rare for these reasons with the notable exceptions of Bogun Ahd in the Bulette Badlands, Kulbod Dune in the Great Alamarri Desert, and the fortress city of Rugash in the northern Frost Marches. Orcs have been known to form small trading communities in coastal regions on most continents in Aelburn.

Relationship Ideals
Orcs tend to value a partner in which they can trust implicitly at their side in battle, though non-combatant orcs often find this value in a partner that has shown loyalty and steadfastness in the face of adversity; such as staying with a partner during bouts of intense illness.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
The majority of orc's raised in a traditional orcish upbringing believe that every weapon has a soul.
Some believe in animism that extends to weaponry "The soul of the weapon"
