Dwarves

While dwarves are still often found working below ground with stone, gem and metal, few still choose to live beneath the ground. As a race they are still unmatched in working with such materials and spaces. However, as a society they feel that they have evolved beyond such primitive lifestyles and now live above ground in homes that are often magnificent structures of worked stone.
Even so, rumors persist of a group of dwarves who sought to return to the ways of their ancestors. They ventured into the Inner Wilds and have not been heard from since.
