Embris the Lich King

Embris was a powerful wizard who turned himself into a lich. He drew to himself thousands of loyal followers and set up a small kingdom in the wastelands of the northeastern corner of the continent. For 200 years he ruled his land of <TBD>. As he kept to his own land he drew little attention from any outsiders except the occasional band of heroes. This changed when one particular band of heroes brought back word that Embris was seeking to elevate himself from lich to demi-god.
The churches of the Three immediately declared a Culling and an army of nearly 20,000 was raised. They marched across the land laying utter waste to everything in their path. Not a single follower of Embris was left and Embris himself was destroyed.
